The Atomic Monster From Out Of Space. A Musical Stage Play By Chris Raven

The Atomic Monster From Out Of Space.

A Musical Stage Play By Chris Raven ★★★★★

An unusual, but no-less entertaining mixture of humor, horror, music and mayhem.

Harking back to the science fiction, monster, horror B-movies of the 1950’s, The Atomic Monster From Out Of Space adds a musical twist. Formatted as a stage-play, this book is set in an American town on the edge of a swamp. During a dance competition, William Denning is trying to keep the peace, but rowdy teenagers will soon be the least of his troubles. A reported sighting of something hideous lurking in the swamp by two youngsters on a school camping trip sets Officer Denning on the case.

Various scenes come with song lyrics for the musical numbers. Songs such as: Freeze! (So all you punks had better just… freeze!), Hideous Green Monster (Hideous green monster come knocking, knocking at my shed door.), and Since You Made Me A Thing (I’m no longer anything, since you made me a thing.)

Just reading this book doesn’t do it credit. You can easily imagine the scenes playing out, but the true impact of this story will be when it’s seen performed live on stage.
